Reviews

This hotel is designed with the guestroom wings circling the pool and courtyard. The concept allows for a sense of community and closeness. Trees and palms in the courtyard are wrapped with strings of white lights which come on at dusk.

Wastebaskets are lined with plastic bags, which are uneccesary because they are durable and could be wiped or washed out when dirty.

The shower curtains are beautiful print fabric, but lined with a heavy plastic. The air quality would be improved with fabric liners.

Though the window opens, the hotel is on a busy street so at times during the day the traffic noise is intense. The individual climate control unit has a very noisy blower, and the fan was necesarry for us during our April stay.

In the process of changing sheets that had been requested to not be changed, a child's stuffed animal was scooped up with the sheets, never to be seen again.

The glasses and mugs in the rooms weren't changed between guests, only wiped out and replaced. This is a trend we see with hotels that's really disgusting and unsanitary.

Wireless internet is available throughout the hotel, with several access points spread around so all the rooms and the pool area had high speed internet. The connection was pretty good, most of the time. Nice feature for traveling business people; we loved conducting business outside.

Loved the sounds of the birds, both in our room and in the courtyard.

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
