Reviews

What a welcome site this hotel was, after being re-routed by United from my original destination. The staff was warm and welcoming.

The hotel is fairly new, so by definition has some water conserving fixtures and is well insulated. Green initiatives they have implemented so far include a sheet and towel reuse program and the use of compact fluorescent light bulbs.

The housekeeping carts had both clean and dirty glasses on them, giving me confidence that the glasses in my room were washed in the dishwasher. That's the kind of care I appreciate!

They did line their wastebaskets, which I thought was quite a shame for the waste of resources and the unfinished look it gave the room.

Food in the dining room was creative and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that much of the food served there is locally grown and organic. Service was good too.

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
