Reviews

What a fun hotel! My room was well designed and comfortable, and decorated with some attention to environmental issues, but not enough for me. But hey, one step at a time.

As far as energy savings, they had an LCD TV but no CFL light bulbs. As far as waste production, they had glassware and saved on waste there, but individual amenities. They avoided some plastic use by having a fabric shower curtain liner instead of those stinky and ugly vinyl ones.

This wasn't the greenest hotel I've been in, but it also wasn't the most backward either, when it comes to environmental actions. Next time I go there will hopefully be a recycling bin and bulk toiletry dispensers.

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
