Community involvement and support is important to the hotel. They have financed a woman in her own laundry business, they sponsor the village cricket team and one of the village bands, have offered environmental education to the schools, and hire locally. Recyling and pre-cycling, and shopping locally are important aspects of the green actions taken by the hotel. They have converted their diesel truck to also run on used cooking oil, solving disposal and air quaility problems.

What a green and wonderful stay we had here! It was an excellent experience and lived up to all claims and expectations.

3 Rivers Eco Lodge was greener than green can be, and genuine eco tourism. Using renwable energy, recycling, organics and loads of other stuff.

They run some serious community programs like a computers for schools program and teaching solar and wind classes.

It's everything it claims to be and more.
