Reviews

We stayed at Carson Ridge for our 25th anniversary and absolutely loved it. We had our own cabin with a huge log bed and jet tub and fireplace. It was just warm enough outside to sit on the deck and drink out hot cocoas as well. It was the absolute perfect place for our anniversary!

You can certainly see the effort that the owners are putting into their green initiatives, we had a glass water decanter in our fridge which was re-filled everyday, they use the towel and sheet program, and our room had a blue box for recycles. It was not just all thrown in the room though, there was a good write up explaining all the environmental initiatives. We even got given to-go mugs to take our coffee with us on our morning hike instead of using a styrofoam or paper cup. It was these little touches that were around the place really made our stay great!

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
