Comments

The resort features Fiji’s first and only water reclamation plant using reclaimed materials (plastic water bottles that are cut up and act as a water filter). To guests, however, the water plant is seen as attractive lagoons, festooned with flowers, which further enhance the visual beauty of the resort.

The resort’s bures are designed with an environmentally sensitive eye; the structure and furnishings feature local non-endangered thatch, bamboo reeds and hardwood timbers. The bures are comfortably spaced apart with dense vegetation between them to ensure privacy.

The resort and its staff have also established a successful Giant Clam restoration program and was instrumental in establishing the world-acclaimed Namena Reef as a protected area.

This hotel supports the community by hiring locally and educating children about the environment.

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
