Museums are abundant in this region of England. England's only national collection, outside London, is based in Liverpool at the National Museums Liverpool -- a collection of eight museums.

Liverpool is known for the Beatles and its love of football. The Magical Mystery Tour buss takes you to many of the places that inspired Beatle lyrics. Liverpool's dock area is dominated by five-storey 19th century warehouses that have been renovated and revived into museums, reasturants, coffee bars and pubs.
