Review:
Once I made our reservation at the Interlochen Motel the voice on the other end of the phone informed me
that my room and all rooms are smoke and pet free. That was good news for my wife and I. Once we arrived Tammy, we think she was the owner, asked us to forgive them for their work in progress. The owners were putting up insulation and new siding.
Tammy also asked us to tell her what we thought about the new heating units they just put in. They are TRANE heat pump units, very energy efficient.
That evening outside every door an outdoor sconce with a compact incandescent bug light was on to assist us in finding our way to the parking lot. Since the motel was right down the road to a delicious pizza joint my wife and I walked down to get a pizza and greek salad to go.
The next day before we left to go hiking we asked one of the cleaning crew what the motel did with things like the pizza boxes and the plastic container that the greek salad came in. The young lady informed me that the owners, Tammy & Barry, are very conscious about recycling EVERYTHING and bins were set up in the laundry room. My wife and I were very impressed by everything that the owners did to do their part.
